Cytoskeletal Signaling

Cytoskeletal Signaling

Cytoskeletal signaling regulates several important cellular processes including cell division, adhesion, polarity, migration, and movement through cilia and flagella etc. Microfilaments are major structural components of the cytoskeleton and consist of fibrous polymers of actin, F-actin, microtubules. Cytoskeleton not only helps cells maintain their shape and internal organization, but also provides mechanical support that enables cells to carry out essential functions like division and movement.
