Renin, an aspartyl protease that cleaves angiotensinogen to angiotensin I. The peptide contains the renin cleavage site between the Leu and Val residues (Leu-Val). Upon cleavage, the fluorescence quenching is relieved, allowing detection of enzymatic activity.
