| Targets |
The compound is a linker and fluorescent dye, not a drug with a specific biological target. The DBCO group reacts with azide-functionalized molecules via strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC), a copper-free click chemistry reaction. The TAMRA fluorophore provides a red-fluorescent label for detection and imaging. The hydrophilic PEG4 spacer increases solubility in aqueous media.

| ln Vitro |
The term "click chemistry" describes a group of reactions that are quick, easy to employ, adaptable, regiospecific, and give large amounts of product. Click chemical reactions are low concentration, low toxicity reactions that work well for cell labeling. DBCO is a great substitute for copper-intolerant applications since it can react with compounds that have been functionalized with azide or biomolecules without the requirement for catalysts to generate stable triazole linkages.
The compound does not possess direct biological activity as it is a linker. Its in vitro utility lies in its ability to form stable conjugates via copper-free click chemistry. The reaction is rapid, selective, and does not require a copper catalyst, making it suitable for use with living systems. It is used for fluorescence labeling, probe development, imaging, and bioconjugation. |
| ln Vivo |
The compound is a chemical reagent and does not have direct in vivo biological activity. Its utility in vivo is as a component of bioconjugates, where it can be used for pretargeted imaging and drug delivery applications. The DBCO group enables bioorthogonal labeling of biomolecules in living systems. The TAMRA fluorophore allows for fluorescent detection in vivo.

| ADME/Pharmacokinetics |
TAMRA-PEG4-DBCO (CAS 1895849-41-8) has a molecular formula of C54H57N5O10 and a molecular weight of 936.1 g/mol. It is soluble in DMSO, DMF, and DCM. It should be stored at -20°C. The extinction coefficient is 80000. Detailed pharmacokinetic parameters are not applicable as the compound is a linker.
|
| Toxicity/Toxicokinetics |
As a chemical linker and fluorescent dye, the compound is not a pharmacologically active compound and does not have direct toxicity. Toxicity would be associated with the final conjugates synthesized using this linker. The PEG component is generally considered biocompatible and non-toxic. No specific toxicity data are provided.

| Solubility (In Vivo) |
Solubility in Formulation 1: ≥ 1.25 mg/mL (1.34 mM) (saturation unknown) in 10% DMSO + 40% PEG300 +5% Tween-80 + 45% Saline (add these co-solvents sequentially from left to right, and one by one), clear solution.
For example, if 1 mL of working solution is to be prepared, you can add 100 μL of 12.5 mg/mL clear DMSO stock solution to 400 μL PEG300 and mix evenly; then add 50 μL Tween-80 + to the above solution and mix evenly; then add 450 μL normal saline to adjust the volume to 1 mL. Preparation of saline: Dissolve 0.9 g of sodium chloride in 100 mL ddH₂ O to obtain a clear solution.  (Please use freshly prepared in vivo formulations for optimal results.) |

*Note: Please select an appropriate solvent for the preparation of stock solution based on your experiment needs. For most products, DMSO can be used for preparing stock solutions (e.g. 5 mM, 10 mM, or 20 mM concentration); some products with high aqueous solubility may be dissolved in water directly. Solubility information is available at the above Solubility Data section. Once the stock solution is prepared, aliquot it to routine usage volumes and store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
