Angiogenin (108-122) (TFA) is a synthetic peptide fragment corresponding to amino acids 108-122 of the angiogenin protein (sequence: Glu-Asn-Gly-Leu-Pro-Val-His-Leu-Asp-Gln-Ser-Ile-Phe-Arg-Arg). It acts as a therapeutic agent candidate for prophylaxis and treatment of various diseases.

Targets
Angiogenin is a key mediator of angiogenesis, and its 108-122 fragment may interact with binding sites or cellular targets involved in angiogenin's ribonucleolytic activity and pro-angiogenic signaling pathways.
ln Vitro
Angiogenin(108-122) has a 39% inhibition on its ribonucleolytic activity when employing tRNA as the substrate[1]. A number of diseases, including cancer, infectious diseases, fibrotic diseases, inflammatory diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, autoimmune diseases, and cardiac and vascular diseases, can be prevented or treated by angiogenin (108–122).
In enzymatic assays using tRNA as a substrate, Angiogenin (108-122) shows approximately 39% inhibition of ribonucleolytic activity, indicating its ability to modulate angiogenin's enzymatic function. It may interfere with the protein's active site or substrate binding.
ln Vivo
The peptide has been investigated as a potential therapeutic agent for a range of diseases, including cancer, infectious diseases, fibrotic diseases, inflammatory diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, autoimmune diseases, and cardiovascular disorders.
Enzyme Assay
Non-cellular assays involve incubating recombinant angiogenin with tRNA in the presence of varying concentrations of the peptide fragment, followed by measuring ribonucleolytic activity via acid precipitation and absorbance detection at 260 nm to quantify RNA cleavage.
Cell Assay
