Absorption, Distribution and Excretion
Following intravenous injection in rats, over 90% of Fast Green FCF was excreted in bile within 4 hours. In dogs, oral administration of 200 mg Fast Green FCF… a bile fistula was established for bile analysis. …The concentration of Fast Green FCF in bile never exceeded 5% of the administered dose. … In rats… oral administration of 200 mg Fast Green FCF… urine and feces were collected over 36 hours. …Almost all of the administered Fast Green FCF was excreted unchanged in rat feces. Fast Green FCF was not detected in urine. |

Interactions
When using a mixture of indigo carmine (a secondary amine dye), fast green FCF (a tertiary amine dye), and nitrite at half the concentration of each component, the SCE value was consistently lower than the sum of the expected values when each component was used alone. This indicates an antagonistic effect between the dye and the nitrite on SCE. Non-human Toxicity Values Canine oral LD50 > 200 mg/dog Rats oral LD50 > 2,000 mg/kg body weight |

| Additional Infomation |
Fast Green FCF is an organosodium salt with the counterion 2-{(4-{ethyl[(3-sulfonylphenyl)methyl]amino}phenyl)[4-{ethyl[(3-sulfonylphenyl)methyl]imino}cyclohexyl-2,5-diene-1-yl]methyl}-5-hydroxyphenyl-1-sulfonate. In Masson's trichrome staining, it can replace Light Green SF (yellow) because it is less prone to fading and produces a more vibrant color. Furthermore, it can be used as a food coloring agent. It can be used as a histological dye, fluorescent dye, and food coloring agent. Its molecular structure contains Fast Green FCF(2-).

*Note: Please select an appropriate solvent for the preparation of stock solution based on your experiment needs. For most products, DMSO can be used for preparing stock solutions (e.g. 5 mM, 10 mM, or 20 mM concentration); some products with high aqueous solubility may be dissolved in water directly. Solubility information is available at the above Solubility Data section. Once the stock solution is prepared, aliquot it to routine usage volumes and store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.

Working concentration: mg/mL;
Method for preparing DMSO stock solution: mg drug pre-dissolved in μL DMSO (stock solution concentration mg/mL). Please contact us first if the concentration exceeds the DMSO solubility of the batch of drug.
Method for preparing in vivo formulation::Take μL DMSO stock solution, next add μL PEG300, mix and clarify, next addμL Tween 80, mix and clarify, next add μL ddH2O,mix and clarify.
(1) Please be sure that the solution is clear before the addition of next solvent. Dissolution methods like vortex, ultrasound or warming and heat may be used to aid dissolving.
(2) Be sure to add the solvent(s) in order.
