Cell Cycle

Cell Cycle

Cell Cycle (cell-division cycle) is the series of events that take place in a cell, thus causing it to divide into two daughter cells. Cell Cycle consists of DNA synthesis (S) and mitosis (M) phases separated by gap phases in the order G1–S–G2–M. S phase and M phase are usually separated by gap phases called G1 and G2, when cell-cycle progression can be regulated by various intracellular and extracellular signals.
